SHAPPY BASIC VS SHAPPY ORIGINAL

While you can't make a product that will be universally loved, you can adjust your offerings to better meet the needs of various customers. At Shappy we offer two types of play sofas - Basic and Original - which are nearly identical except for their covers. Both utilize high-quality, safe foam regardless of model. The differences between them come down to aesthetics as one offers a more stylish look while the other has a minimal look. Check bellow all the distinctions side-by-side:

Fabric

The Shappy Original comes with a knitted fabric with a print imitating fabric weave. Soft to the touch, with a pleasant cashmere-like finish. It's pet-friendsly, scratch and stain resistant.

The Shappy Basic comes with a velour fabric, which is nice to handle and has reduced liquid absorption. This kind of fabric is also better for the stability of builds.

Seams

The Shappy Original is sturdily crafted with double stitched seams that also create a luxurious look by rounding the edges of the sofa.

The Shappy Basic has single-stitched seams, which are very durable and create a modern, minimalist look.

Zippers

The zippers on the Shappy Original are hidden and kept as short as possible, while the Shappy Basic has zippers on almost every side for easy removal before washing.

Zipper Pullers

Both sofas have the same high-quality zippers that match the fabric color, although in the Shappy Play Sofa Original, the pullers are hidden on the full leg of the zipper, and in the Basic version, the pullers are hidden in "zipper garages."

Both solutions help to avoid scratches and are safe even for toddlers.
