Shappy test family prize draw: terms and conditions

1. Promoter

  1. The promoter of the prize draw is Shappy Sp. z o.o., Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego 57, 24-100 Puławy, Poland (register court: Lublin, KRS 0000963087, VAT number PL7162835589), owner of the Shappy brand and the online shop heyshappy.com (the “promoter”).
  2. Contact for the prize draw: contact@heyshappy.com.
  3. The prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Facebook or Instagram. Entrants release Meta from any liability in connection with the prize draw. Questions and complaints should be sent to the promoter, not to Meta.

2. Entry period and scope

  1. Entries open at 00:00 on 22 October 2026 and close at 23:59 on 19 November 2026. All times are UK time, which is also the time in Ireland.
  2. The winner will be drawn on 20 November 2026.
  3. These terms apply to the prize draw for the United Kingdom and Ireland. This market has its own draw and its own prize. Separate terms apply to the prize draws for Germany and Austria and for the Netherlands and Belgium.

3. Who can enter

  1. The prize draw is open to individuals who, at the time of entry, are aged 18 or over, live in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland) or in Ireland, and enter as consumers in their own name. The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not part of the United Kingdom and are not included.
  2. The following people cannot enter: employees of the promoter and anyone working for it under any type of contract; anyone involved in preparing or running the prize draw, including agencies and service providers; and close family members of these people (spouse or partner, children, parents, brothers and sisters) and anyone living in the same household as them.

4. How to enter

  1. To enter, entrants must complete the form in a Shappy advert on Facebook or Instagram during the entry period in clause 2.1, giving their first name, email address and country of residence and ticking the box to accept these terms and confirm their age and country of residence.
  2. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
  3. Only one entry per person is allowed. Further entries from the same person, including entries with a different email address, do not increase the chance of winning and are not included in the draw.
  4. The form also asks a separate question about the promoter's email newsletter, which brings early access to Black Friday first and then news about new products, promotions and play inspiration. The question has two answers, yes and no, and neither is selected in advance. An answer is needed to send the form, but which answer the entrant chooses makes no difference to taking part in the prize draw or to the chance of winning. Only entrants who answer yes receive the newsletter. They can unsubscribe at any time, most easily via the unsubscribe link in every email.
  5. The promoter may exclude entries that breach these terms, in particular entries with false details, automated entries and entries made by the same person through several accounts.

5. Prize

  1. There is one prize for the market in clause 2.3: a Shappy Play Sofa Pure Corduroy, 160 × 80 × 56 cm, an 8-piece set (2 seat modules, 2 triangles, 2 armrests and 2 round cushions), in a colour chosen by the winner from the colours available on heyshappy.com on the day the colour is chosen.
  2. Value of the prize: £389.00 including VAT (selling price on heyshappy.com for the United Kingdom on 22 October 2026). On the same day, the price on heyshappy.com for Ireland was €399.00 including VAT.
  3. The promoter delivers the prize at its own cost to an address in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Delivery to the United Kingdom is delivered duty paid (DDP): the winner pays no customs duty, import VAT or other fees on delivery.
  4. There is no cash alternative to the prize, and it cannot be exchanged for another product. The prize cannot be transferred to anyone else.
  5. The prize comes with the same 3-year warranty as a play sofa bought on heyshappy.com.

6. Testing (optional)

  1. About two weeks after delivery, the promoter will email the winner to ask how the play sofa is working out at home and to ask for a short review and two or three photos.
  2. Replying is optional. It is not a condition of receiving or keeping the prize.
  3. The promoter will only publish the review or photos with the winner's separate consent, given by email after the prize has arrived. When publishing them, the promoter will state that the winner won the play sofa in a prize draw.
  4. Photos do not need to show children. The promoter will only publish photos that show children with the consent of a parent or guardian, and may crop them or blur faces.

7. The draw

  1. On 20 November 2026, the draw is carried out by a committee of two people appointed by the promoter.
  2. All valid entries for the market take part in the draw. Every entry has the same chance of winning.
  3. The committee selects one winner and two reserve winners, in the order drawn, using random.org, a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
  4. The committee keeps a written record of the draw, including the random.org result. The promoter keeps the record until the end of the complaints period or, if there is a dispute, until it is resolved.

8. Notifying the winner and delivering the prize

  1. The promoter will email the winner within 3 working days of the draw, at the email address given in the form.
  2. To claim the prize, the winner must reply within 7 days of the email being sent, giving their first name and surname, a delivery address in the United Kingdom or Ireland, a phone number for the courier and the chosen colour of the play sofa.
  3. If the winner does not reply in time, does not meet the conditions in clause 3 or turns down the prize, the prize passes to the first reserve winner and then to the second, on the same terms.
  4. The promoter will dispatch the prize by courier within 14 days of receiving these details, so that the winner receives it by 31 January 2027 at the latest, also if the prize passes to a reserve winner. The play sofa is delivered vacuum-packed.
  5. The promoter is not responsible if it cannot contact the winner because the email address given in the form is wrong.
  6. The promoter may ask the winner to confirm their age and country of residence in a way that does not require a copy of an identity document.
  7. To show that the prize has been awarded, the promoter will make the winner's surname and county available on request. The winner can object to this, or limit what is shared, by emailing contact@heyshappy.com. In that case the promoter will only say that the prize has been awarded, but may still have to give the winner's details to the advertising regulator (the Advertising Standards Authority in the United Kingdom or the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland) if it asks for them. The promoter will only publish the winner's first name, the first letter of their surname and their country with the winner's consent.

9. Personal data

  1. The promoter is the controller of entrants' personal data. Contact for data protection questions: contact@heyshappy.com.
  2. The promoter processes personal data for these purposes: to run the prize draw, notify the winner and deliver the prize, because this is necessary for taking part in the prize draw under these terms (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR and the UK GDPR); to send the newsletter, only to entrants who have answered yes to the newsletter question, on the basis of their consent (clause 4.4; Article 6(1)(a)); to meet tax and accounting obligations connected with the prize (legal obligation; Article 6(1)(c)); and to handle complaints and defend legal claims (legitimate interests; Article 6(1)(f)).
  3. Personal data processed: the first name, email address, country of residence and answer to the newsletter question of all entrants, and also the surname, delivery address and phone number of the winner.
  4. Recipients of the data: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (provider of the form), Klaviyo, Inc. (sending emails), UPS (delivering the prize), the promoter's external accountants and IT service providers, each under a data processing agreement. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, or of standard contractual clauses.
  5. Retention: the promoter deletes the data of entrants who do not win and who answered no to the newsletter question within 30 days of the end of the complaints procedure in clause 10. It keeps the data of the winner and the reserve winners for as long as tax and accounting rules require. It keeps the data of entrants who answered yes to the newsletter question for sending the newsletter until they unsubscribe.
  6. Every entrant has the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
  7. Every entrant can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO) in Poland, or the authority in their country of residence: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
  8. Providing personal data is voluntary, but without the first name, email address and country of residence it is not possible to enter the prize draw. Answering yes to the newsletter question is optional, and consent to the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time (clause 4.4).

10. Complaints

  1. Complaints about the prize draw can be sent within 14 days of the draw by email to contact@heyshappy.com or by post to the promoter's address.
  2. A complaint should include the entrant's first name, the email address used in the form and a description of the issue.
  3. The promoter will deal with the complaint within 14 days of receiving it and reply by email.
  4. The complaints procedure does not limit the right to bring a claim in court.

11. Final provisions

  1. These terms are available free of charge throughout the prize draw at https://heyshappy.com/en-gb/pages/prize-draw.
  2. The promoter may only change these terms for an important reason and only in a way that does not disadvantage entrants. It will only change the closing date if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable. Changes apply from their publication at the address in clause 11.1.
  3. These terms are governed by Polish law. This does not affect the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where the entrant normally lives.
  4. Any matters not covered by these terms are governed by the applicable law.
